The 74th Senior PGA Championship, to be held at Bellerive Country Club in Town & Country May 21-26, is presented by KitchenAid. That means that spectators at the tournament are likely to hear the whirring and buzzing noises of mixers, dishwashers, vent hoods, pasta-makers, ovens, ranges, refrigerators, blenders, and so on (KitchenAid makes a lot of different appliances, you understand).
The machines will be operated within the “KitchenAid Fairway Club,” adjacent to the tenth fairway, by a certain group of cooks who know their way around a mixer.
Chef Andrew Zimmern of the Travel Channel’s “Bizarre Foods America,” Chef Cat Cora of Bravo’s “Around the World in 80 Plates,” and Chefs Pat & Gina Neely of the Food Network’s “Down Home With the Neelys” will offer interactive cooking and product demonstrations in the temporary kitchen. Local lights Chef Anthony Devoti of Five Bistro, Chef Kevin Storm of Bellerive Country Club, and Chef Jack MacMurray of Jack Mac’s Distinctive Taste will offer fun demos as well.
Here’s the whole schedule:

• 1:00–2:00 p.m. – Chef Andrew Zimmern
• 2:30–3:30 p.m. – Chef Anthony Devoti

If you run into Zimmern, be sure to ask him what he did with the five-pound brick of Provel we gifted him with (below) two months ago.
We’d like to think he brought it on the plane with him for a light snack on the way home.
