Yesterday afternoon at Straub’s-Clayton, world-renowned chef Jacques Pépin was on hand to conduct a cooking demonstration as well as sign copies of his newest book, More Fast Food My Way. After that, it was off to revival for a lunch hosted by four of our city’s more notable chefs. Chef Cary McDowell commented that Pépin reminded him of his former boss, Wolfgang Puck— “a passionate guy who loves to tell stories, cook to cook, older chef to younger chef.” The notables and their contributions below. — George Mahe
