To descend from the warren of gray cubicles in the purgatory we call work to the outdoors at noon, and to find one or two food trucks, with their festive exteriors and fattening treats, is a pleasure. A respite. A ray of sunshine piercing the gloom of capitalism’s black dowry, if we may enthuse.
But to drive to a park, knowing there will be a veritable wall of a dozen or more food trucks, so many choices for your delectation, so many of these nomadic kitchens with their burgers and cupcakes and unexplored Filipino tastes, even, parked for your ease in one place, well, that is another order of happiness entirely. That is very, very fine, indeed.
Convocations of food trucks are a foodie’s dream – no need to hunt down the trucks you haven’t yet sampled in the hinterlands of West County or the where-the-heck-am-I-supposed-to-park-lands of Downtown. They’re all here, just for you. You can eat a five-course meal comprised of savories and sweets from five different trucks, from Korean tacos to Nutella-and-banana crepes. A melting pot gone mobile.
For you to print and save, we now present, to the best of our knowledge, a list of all the food truck events scheduled to happen in the area over the next few months, aka prime food truck season.
