If all goes as planned, the International Tap House may just have to double the last numeral of its slogan. Pending neighborhood, liquor license, and various other approvals, the ultimate feast of brews (and none of them is Bud Light, by the way) will open up shop in Dogtown. (Due credit goes to none other than Jerry Berger for uncovering this stone.)
In the meantime, the original location in Chesterfield is celebrating its first birthday (raise the index finger and no other, I am told) with a weeklong celebration culminating on Super Bowl Sunday. I dare not paraphrase, so here's the schedule for the partae, straight from the Tap:
BIG ANNIVERSARY PARTAE:
Monday: (2/1) Either pay half-off half the taps...or drink twice as much ... your tab will be the same
Tuesday: (2/2) Drink it...take it. Down a tasty Chimay or Schlafly ... and keep the cool looking glass which bound the beautiful brew
Wednesday: (2/3) Think you got what it takes? Bring it. Seriously, celebrate the Home Brewer
AHH...BUT THE WEEK IS BUT A FETUS
Thursday: (2/4) If you have an iTap Passport, get a buck off everything, even better--a free t-shirt
Friday: (2/5) Today we are celebrating 365 days of bringing the world to Chesterfield ... so select draughts will put you back $3.65
Saturday: (2/6) Free food, music and bring a straw to share a big-ass bottle of beer with the STLHops know-it-alls
Super Bowl Sunday: (2/7) Chili cook off. Bring your best beanie batch...then do your civic duty and vote. Winner walks with a wonderful gift certificate
Stay tuned for further developments. -- George Mahe
