Josh Allen, owner of Companion baking, announced today that beginning March 5, there will be a new source for Companion bread in town, and even better, it'll be priced at 35-40% off retail. Both bread and pastries will be available, but only from 7 AM to noon, Friday through Sunday, and only at Companion's Early Bird Outlet, located at the rear of its primary baking facility at 4555 Gustine.
“We are excited to expand our offering in the city and provide substantial value to our customers,” explained Josh Allen, owner of Companion. “We think people love to discover a great deal. If you’re willing to travel a little out of your way, you will find amazing fresh bread and pastries at substantially discounted rates.”
Aside from coffee and bottled water, the EBO will not sell sandwiches, soups or other items offered at Companion's cafes. Just remember, thoough--when they’re out of product, they’re out for the day.
Putting a further twist on pricing, Allen has elected to sell all items by the pound, rather than the piece. Ya gotta love that...no more rooting through the bread bin trying to find the biggest baguette. -- George Mahe
