No, it’s not too early to be thinking about holiday gift baskets. We’ll be assembling our own this weekend (like our teaser basket at left) as we wander the annual Best of Missouri Market at the Missouri Botanical Garden.
We’ve found that no matter the recipient’s address—be it in town or an ex-pat living somewhere else—all of them appreciate products that are made in or near their hometown. The MoBot folks have made shopping easy: print out the list of vendors here, make a few notes, and pre-plan your visit.
More than 120 Missouri food producers and crafters will be on hand, offering an amazing cornucopia of gift-worthy goodies, from Dippy Divas’ Chocolates to Deadly Dick’s Peppers, and custom birdhouses to Baskets by Gina...even bottles of "Naughty but Nice" chocolate wine from Westphalia Vineyards in Westphalia, MO.
The market is held outdoors, under tents, rain or shine, with the festivities starting tonight and wrapping up late Sunday afternoon. There's entertainment, kiddie crafts, and an outdoor food court, too.
