Add another ghost to 3800 Chouteau, the prior address of King Louie's, Revival and now Chouteau's at 39th. Their last shift will be at lunch today, with doors closing about 6 PM. This incarnation lasted but 90 days.
So what is it about that location? SLM gave their opinion in the just-released October issue (in an article titled Restaurant Postmortem's), but what do you think happened? Inferior food, poor menu mix, bad management, lousy marketing? Tired concept? Horrible location? The damn highway? Just don't blame the economy. Diners are eating out...look in any chain restaurant's parking lot. -- George Mahe
