“We need to cut back on expenses...”
Aside from “we need to eat healthier,” saving money is the main reason consumers use for staying clear of restaurants, especially entering a new year. And restaurants feel the pinch—January is traditionally one of the slowest--if not the slowest--months of the year.
Restaurateurs react with enticements, coupons, Groupons, Restaurant Weeks, and in the case of Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, a helluva good dinner special.
Every Sunday night through February 2, Fleming’s is offering its 3-course, Sunday Night Prime Rib Dinner (below) normally $39.95, for $10 dollars less. If skeptics were to assume the portions have be reduced, they’d be wrong: the cut size for the rib is still 16 ounces and includes three sauces, a choice of three salads, a side dish, and a dessert—the exact meal that’s a bargain at the regular price.
The folks at Fleming’s have it all figured out… at $29.95 per, as we trudge into the new year, we can honestly say we are “cutting back on expenses.”
