As a new year approaches, it’s always a fitting time to reflect on the past—and to look to the future.
With that in mind, we’re currently working on stories that we're excited to share with our readers next year, as well as exploring new ways to connect with the design community, both online and in person. We're devoting two special editions of St. Louis Magazine to design, in addition to introducing design- and home-related content in every issue. As always, we look forward to gathering with the design community at the annual Architect & Designer Awards celebration later in the year.
This season is also one of reflection and retrospectives. While overseeing our design coverage over the past seven years, I've experienced some major milestones: I moved houses. My children grew into teenagers. Our design coverage garnered three nominations from the City and Regional Magazine Association. All the while, I’ve met many of our area's most creative and inspiring homeowners and designers, and have had the privilege of visiting them at their houses, in their art studios, and places of work. Together, we lived through a global pandemic, pivoted to remote work, and still continued the pursuit of stories that placed the home at the center of the magazine's collective narrative.
So in the spirit of building on the past while looking to the future, here are just a handful of memorable articles, written by an incredible team of writers, designed by our talented art directors, and photographed by some of the region's top photographers. Before you start clicking, though, a big thank-you to all of our readers and supporters. We look forward to what the future holds.
See you next year!
