Inspired by his own sweet little bundle of joy—his daughter, Poppy—Nate Berkus has produced a new nursery line for Target that serves up a number of equally sweet options for your new arrival.
Judging by the practicality of the nearly forty-piece collection, Berkus took note while tending to his own family’s needs. While some items are merely aesthetic, the majority of Berkus' baby merch is truly functional, while still brandishing the designer’s signature touches such as geometric patterns and chic metallic accents.
The offerings run the gamut from a cozy crochet turtle rattle to a whimsical llama night light (one of our favorite pieces). Llamas are a theme throughout the collection: the otherwise shaggy creature has been softened and animated to delight both baby and toddler.
With its gender neutral palette a trend in nursery décor, and fashion in general), the items also make for practical gifts. Stone gray, white, and beige tones offer a modern look and are subdued enough to incorporate into a predetermined color scheme.
Target offers these sweet pieces for baby at very affordable prices ($11.99-$49.99). The collection is available in select stores and online beginning January 8, 2017, so call ahead to check if your local store offers the collection. But be warned: designer collaborations for Target have been known to sell out quickly, so if there is a piece you simply must have for your “crib,” swipe it up quickly, or risk 4 a.m. feedings with less-than-designer ambiance.
