Jen Rieger and Chris Rubin de la Borbolla
Rieger and Rubin de la Borbolla are the creative minds behind OSO: a style lab, a new boutique in the Delmar Loop that stocks “curious finds for curious minds,” such as the Blamo Rice Baby that Rieger is holding. The longtime St. Louisans opened OSO in April to bring their coastal vibes to the neighborhood. The response has been very energizing, they say, adding that they remain open to evolving and pushing the envelope.

Eric Johnson
Beginning next year, the St. Louis Fashion Incubator plans to provide six designers with the tools and space to get their businesses off the ground. The former vice president for arts and fashion at the New York City Economic Development Corporation, Johnson is spearheading the initiative as the incubator’s executive director. He has big ambitions for his hometown: “We want to be the catalyst that helps reignite the St. Louis fashion industry.”

Gregg Garland
Five years ago, MOXI Enterprises CEO Gregg Garland purchased a cut-and-sew facility to help produce the company’s medical supplies. But he quickly realized that the facility could also assist the fashion community, providing designers with a place for small-scale textile production. “There is an abundance of talent in the area,” Garland says. “Being entrepreneurs ourselves, we are happy to support those willing to take a chance.”
