Design has gone high-end for the shortest—and youngest—members of your family. If you thought all kids’ furnishings were, well, just-so-cute, you’ve missed the latest trend to oh-so-chic. For example: the Nuage chandelier from Troy Lighting (troy-lighting.com). Large white globes are suspended from wires that look like strings—and a bouquet of upside-down balloons. Cost: from $261 to $3,731 and is available at Metro Lighting (multiple locations, metrolightingcenters.com). And then there are those new vanities for kids made by Hastings Tile & Bath (hastingstilebath.com). Lower to the ground, the vanity comes in four finishes or 51 colors. Cost: $4,481 and is available at the Hastings’ showroom in the Chicago Merchandise Mart. Our third and last example of the trend is another chic chandelier, the Superstar, from Corbett Lighting (corbettlighting.com). Gold stars cascade down from the ceiling, past a drum shade, to reflect a starry night on a sleeping child. Cost: $488, and again sold at Metro.
