Saint Louis Art Museum Presents Lecture on Frank Lloyd Wright's Work
The Saint Louis Art Museum will host " Frank Lloyd Wright, Organic Architecture and St. Louis, " a free lecture at 7 p.m. on April 3, 2009 in the Auditorium. Anthony Alofsin, Roland Gommel Roessner Centennial professor in architecture and professor of art and art history at the University of Texas at Austin, will explore Wright's connections to St. Louis, including his little known ties to the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair.
Alofsin founded the PhD program in architecture at the University of Texas at Austin, where he continues to teach the history of architecture as well as design studios. He also maintains his own award-winning architectural firm, Anthony Alofsin, AIA, in Austin, Texas.
This lecture is cosponsored by The Frank Lloyd Wright House in Ebsworth Park.
