More and more, people are realizing that gardening can be a year-round proposition. (See the post on cold frames from earlier this year.) In fact, master gardener June Hutson is teaching a class called "Add Winter to Your Garden Season," at MoBot in January. Here are some other offerings to help you get the most out of your garden during the colder months of the year:
Shape it Up: Pruning 101

This hands-on class will give you first-hand experience on how to keep your pruning shears sharp, how to trim deadwood, how to shape trees and shrubs, and more. $10, reservations required.

Registration for this class ends soon—November 4 at 5 p.m.—but MoBot has an easy online registration process, which you can access here. This class covers composting basis, including bin types, and the pros and cons of each. The class is designed to get you started immediately, so you'll leave with a bin and detailed instructions on how to use it.
Holiday Decorating Using Natural Elements
