All Wrapped Up
By Christy Marshall
Designer and set stylist John Fletcher learned how to wrap a package to perfection from his “Mama Joann. She says the pinch and the twist is the most important in terms of making a bow,” Fletcher says. “Pinch and twist—or more accurately pinch, twist, loop, pinch, twist, loop.” Fletch picks up his papers at artists’ supply stores, like Artmart and the Paper Source. He prefers a themed grouping with three or four papers in different patterns but the same color tone coordinated by a unifying ribbon color. ” Or conversely, use the same paper but vary your ribbon in different shades … Everyone loves an adorned gift. You don’t have to go to crazy. Just show that you put in a little time. Not a lot, just a little.”
