This not-for-profit shop's inventory of furniture, home décor, and art in a variety of styles changes daily. Proceeds benefit the Miriam School, a private school for children with learning disabilities. Items generally sell quickly, but if something has been on the floor for 30 days, you get a 10 percent discount and after 60 days, it increases to 20 percent.

The Habitat for Humanity ReStore carries quality, used, and surplus building materials sold at a fraction of normal prices to benefit the construction of Habitat for Humanity builds in the area. The Forest Park location opened in 1997, and, last year, a second location opened in Des Peres. Look for everything from light fixtures to appliances, furniture to cabinets.

With more than 13 locations in Missouri, including two in the St. Louis area, Red Racks carries furniture, home décor, and clothing to benefit Disabled American Veterans. Inventory changes every three to four weeks.
The Green Goose Resale and Consignment Shop

Awarded "Neighborhood Business of the Year" by the City of St. Louis Business Development Corporation in 2013, this resale and consignment shop offers eclectic home furnishings and unique gifts for 25 to 75 percent of the original retail price. A portion of the store's proceeds go to Safe Connections, which supports women and teens who have faced domestic abuse and sexual violence.
