Most likely you are not, but let’s say you are a collector of Hagop Sandaldjian micro-miniatures (which are so small they’re literally sculpted inside the eye of a needle). Or you are a scrapbooker with attention deficit disorder, and your drawers swarm with ribbon, chipboard, origami papers, paper silhouettes, grease pencils, spare scrapbook pages … How do you deal with all that stuff? The unnaturally resourceful among us might have these storage problems licked, but most of us just suffer the clutter. Ingenious niche shop The Container Store opens its first Missouri location this month, with 24,000 square feet of bins, boxes, baskets and storage help galore. The store offers free space-planning consultations and 70 brand-new peppy employees whose mission is to “have customers do a little dance every time they open the doors of their organized closet, pantry or home office.”
