The event is a classic summer party with a midway, rides, and family entertainment. And it's bringing in rock royalty-inspired bands, including Creedence Clearwater Revisited and supergroup World Classic Rockers, which features former members of Journey, Santana, Steppenwolf, Boston, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Lumiere Place Casino and Hotels
Lumiere Place is the ideal spot for watching fireworks over the river. Fireworks will be set off from a barge in the river near Laclede’s Landing. If you're feeling fancy, join the Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis for its Independence Day celebration on the Sky Terrace. The annual celebration in Forest Park is billed as "America's Biggest Birthday Party." This year's music acts include Akon, 3 Doors Down, and Jake Owen. And a zip line, human slingh shot, and more will be on hand if you want to get your thrills before the fireworks displays on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. July 1-4. Forest Park.
Go big—really big—on July 4 weekend at Six Flags. Take part in exclusive ride times in the morning. Salute members of the armed forces (and get in free if you’re active duty). Wonder Woman will be on hand during the festivities, and a tremendous fireworks display happens nightly at 9:05 p.m. by the BATMAN ride. July 2–4. Six Flags.
The Webster Groves Lions Club holds its annual carnival and charity barbecue this weekend. Enjoy the carnival and rides, too. There’s also the Miss Webster pageant and a parade on the morning of July 4. Fireworks will light the sky at 9:30 p.m. on July 3 and 4. July 1–4. Webster Groves.
St. Charles is putting on a four-day extravaganza, complete with music, food, carnival rides, and plenty of kid-friendly activities, such as the Bubble Bus and Way Cool Balloons. Fireworks start around 9:20 p.m. on July 3 and 4. July 1–4. Frontier Park, St. Charles.
Kirkwood Community Freedom Festival and Fireworks
Downtown Kirkwood's annual fest kicks off at 7 p.m. with live music, local food trucks, and refreshments from the Kirkwood Lions. Plus, fan-favorite Tropical Moose—or TroMo as it's fondly called—will be open at the concession stand during the event. Fireworks take off at dusk. July 4. Kirkwood Park.
