Recently, Toulon Boutique (102 W. Lockwood, 314-918-1008) in Webster Groves announced that it would be closing after nearly three years in business.
Julie and Larry Mangels purchased the boutique, previously known as Jennie Annie's, in April 2012 and opened as Toulon a few months later. Inspired by the French port city of Toulon, the store carried vibrant and casual shoes, accessories and apparel from brands Before and Again, Nikibiki, OOFOS fitness recovery shoes, Corkys and Elite, and more.
“We’re a little more on the conservative side than Jennie Annie’s was,” said owner Julie Mangels shortly after opening. “But whether you are in your 20s or 90s, you can find something here. Our selection is more diverse, and we carry sizes all the way from XS to XL, which is hard to find.”
The boutique is currently hosting a store closing sale with 25 to 75 percent off all merchandise and is also selling all furniture, fixtures, and displays. A closing date has not been announced.
