Art in the Park features more than 60 artists showcasing their work in South City's Francis Park. Artists and art lovers alike come together and listen to live music, eat, drink, and admire the abundant creativity. From jewelry, glass, textiles, pottery paintings, sculptures, and more, there's something for everyone. The event also features food from such eateries as Bogart's Smoke House and Maggie's Lunch Box, as well as children's art, vintage baseball, and entertainment from James Garms, River Kittens, and Falling Fences. Pitmasters from Sugarfire Smoke House, Pappy’s Smokehouse, and more will be serving up 'cue in the heart of downtown this weekend. Event goers can also participate in the Meat & Greet, in which drinks from Bulleit Frontier Whiskey are paired with smoky barbecue. "Ai Weiwei: Bare Life" | September 28–January 5, 2020
After two years, the expanded and renovated Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum reopens with work from Chinese dissident artist and activist Ai Weiwei. The exhibit, designed by the artist and curated by Sabine Eckmann, features new work and pieces never before displayed in the United States. It marks the artist's first major show in the region.
