Already a beauty, the Missouri Botanical Garden with the addition of lights makes for a festive holiday photo op and outing. Visit the sixth annual Garden Glow, and gaze at 1 million lights while enjoying s'mores and hot chocolate. Santa flies in from 5–8 p.m. on Monday–Thursday nights starting November 26 and up to December 13. Susan Orlean | November 15
Journalist, author, and now true crime novelist? Sorta. A 30-year-old mystery did inspire Susan Orlean's latest endeavor, The Library Book. Ahead of her appearance in St. Louis this Thursday, SLM spoke with Orlean about the role of libraries and the fire that started this story. Free. 7 p.m. St. Louis County Library headquarters,1640 S. Graphic Revolution: American Prints 1960 to Now | November 11–February 3
From the 1960s up until the early 21st century, American art was revolutionized through printmaking. This exhibit details the progress, displaying how printmaking is woven into our history. Browse more than 110 multimedia pieces, including the museum's post–World War II American prints and pieces from private collections in the city, including works from the likes of Andy Warhol, Louise Bourgeois, and Barbara Kruger, among others. $6–$14. Anheuser-Busch’s Brewery Lights | Every Thursday–Sunday through December 30
A combination of many St. Louisans' favorites: beer and holiday lights. After kicking off with a lighting ceremony on Thursday at 5:30 p.m., the 33rd annual event is actually for all ages, with an ice skating rink and a kids' zone. Prefer to stay in the car? Joy Williams | November 16
You might recognize her soft vocals from the Grammy-winning duo The Civil Wars. Known for their Hunger Games track with Taylor Swift, Safe & Sound, the folksy group separated in 2014, and Williams has since picked up her solo career.
