While Frontier Park is no longer covered in floodwater, that flood damage means the annual craft festival will be held along Riverside and Main Street. But the number of vendors preparing tasty treats, live entertainment, and arts and crafts to peruse remains abundant. Free. Main Street, St. Charles, Missouri.
St. Lou Fringe Festival | August 13–18
Calling all art lovers, at this event, you can catch a cabaret show, standup comedy, and an array of multifaceted theater and art. The festival kicked off earlier in the week, but the weekend brings entertainment at Kransberg Arts Center, dotZack, and The Olive Tree Popup in the Grove. Last time the country crooner was in St. Louis he filled the seats of Busch Stadium. This go-around he is bringing it back to a spot where country music thrives in St. Louis—with draft beer up on the Maryland Heights venue’s lawn. 7 p.m. $49–$134. Hollywood Casino Ampitheatre, 14141 Riverport.
Margarita Crawl | August 17
These are two words we didn’t realize sounded so good together. Hosted by Bar Crawl Unlimited, a ticket to this event gets you take-home swag, discounted drinks at TK venues, and a seriously good time. Tickets start at $20 and become $35 closer to the date. 2–8 p.m. See website for locations.
Rise Up Festival | August 17
The festival with goals to revitalize St. Louis is celebrating its sixth year. Kicking off at 2 p.m. on Saturday, the event offers live entertainment from both local and regional musicians, street performers, and mission-driven activities meant to raise community awareness of Rise's community efforts. In addition, the festival has an “Artists on the Rise” competition show and feature local vendors and artisans in its own marketplace. Free, unless purchasing VIP tickets. 2 p.m. 1627 Washington.
