On Monday, Alek Krautmann, whose Twitter bio says he's from St. Louis and working in Washington, D.C., tweeted that he showed his D.C. co-workers a "secret St. Louis way" of ordering sliced bagels from Panera. Twitter users weren't having any of it. By midday Wednesday, St. Louis was trending on Twitter with thousands weighing in—and many St. Louisans refusing to claim the slicing practice.
