Though not known for music, Jeff and Randy Vines of STL-Style have put T-shirts on the backs of many local bands. Their shop was once home to the Way Out Club, and they occasionally throw parties with live music. We asked them about relating to local musicians who happen to engage in their art while lookin’ good.
Which St. Louis bands have the best style?
Sleepy Kitty, Brothers Lazaroff, Pokey LaFarge, Née, Cave-ofswordS, Bottoms Up Blues Gang, Redheaded Strangers, Letter to Memphis, Jump Starts…
Which local bands’ music do you play at the shop?
All of the above.
Which band would you like to work with?
Pokey Lafarge & the South City Three. They have that old-school St. Louis flavor oozing out of their gills. Though they’re now an international sensation, they remain true to the city that inspires them.
