Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band (pictured above) stopped by Enterprise Center in downtown St. Louis Friday night on their Travelin’ Man final tour. Seger was originally scheduled to play St. Louis in October 2017 but had to cancel due to a spinal surgery.
Since 1961, Seger has been performing (and with the Silver Bullet Band since 1973), and he is one of the world’s best-selling artists of all time. His roots rock is memorable, catchy, and much-beloved by fans everywhere.
Friday night, the audience was immediately on its feet as soon as the band came onstage. Seger went straight into "Face the Promise" and "Still the Same." Seger was unmistakably having fun onstage, which, at age 73, and after a career that spans more than 50 years, is fitting. Other hits throughout the night included "Like a Rock," "Travelin’ Man," and "We’ve Got Tonight." He finished the night strong with not one, but two encores, ending on "Rock and Roll Never Forgets."
Blue Water Highway (pictured below) opened for Seger. Currently based out of Austin, Texas, they’ve been described as “haunted and haunting, tough but melodic, top of the line Americana.” Keep your eyes out for this up-and-comer.
