Bon Jovi is searching for local talent to open each of his "This House is Not For Sale" tour dates. The singer behind "Livin' on a Prayer" and "It's My Life" will perform February 19 at the Scottrade Center.
Local solo artists or bands can audition by submitting a video of original music to the Bon Jovi website or the Bon Jovi and Live Nation Facebook pages. This is the third time the band has put on the contest. Local artists were also used as opening acts on Bon Jovi's 2006 and 2010 tours.
Live Nation—who is promoting the tour—will select 10 finalists, and Bon Jovi management will choose the winner for each tour date. For the St. Louis show, winners of the contest will be announced around January 27.
"Every great band starts small and builds their rep one show at a time," Bon Jovi said in a press release. "That's the opportunity we were given, and now we want to pay it forward."
The "This House if Not For Sale" tour will promote Bon Jovi's album of the same name—his thirteenth studio album—which was released this past November.
