It's official: Kennedy Holmes is our favorite ever.
On Tuesday night, the 13-year-old Muny performer and Florissant native advanced to the top 8 on NBC's The Voice, securing her spot in the semi-finals when the TV show resumes Monday. Holmes, who is on judge Jennifer Hudson's team, performed Meghan Trainor's "Me Too," an upbeat song that's a departure from the ballads she's known for. Bonus, she moonwalks. "You never disappoint," Hudson told Holmes. Watch the video of her performance below:
Adam Levine, the Maroon 5 frontman and another Voice judge, told Holmes, "If that was being 13 then I sucked at being 13."
If Holmes makes the semi-finals, the Voice's finale performance episode is December 17, with the results airing on December 18.
