There were lots of hugs and reminiscing at Delmar Hall on Saturday night as Blue Dixie played its 30th anniversary reunion show. Fans traveled from Texas, Colorado, Arkansas, and beyond to take part in the reunion. Given the tight sound during the three-hour performance, you couldn't tell that a few of the band members had some pre-show jitters, which were to be expected after not playing together in five years.
"These six musicians have made magic for many with their art, but most significant is that they have connected people who share values and love across time and space," Amanda Moore McBride wrote on Facebook. "Through these connections, we travel life’s joys and pains together, and experience the best of humanity. How grateful we are."
