Nature Connects
If you like eagles, ducks, snakes, praying mantises, butterflies, woodpeckers, squirrels, bluebirds, lilies, bunnies, foxes, and/or Rototillers, you will enjoy the new Nature Connects: Art with LEGO Bricks exhibition within the Climatron at the Missouri Botanical Garden.
Adults and LEGO architects of all sizes will marvel at the size of these 12 sculptural installations, and the huge number of tiny LEGOs used to construct them. They’ve been built by full-time LEGO artist Sean Kenney.
The exhibition is also a cool reminder of the gem that is the Climatron, a tropical paradise of exotic pineapple plants, cacao trees, giant bamboo, waterfalls, ponds, etc., under a bubble. With or without LEGOs, it’s magical.
Nature Connects: Art with LEGO Bricks runs through September 7. The Missouri Botanical Garden (4434 Shaw) is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets for Nature Connects are $6 adults ($5 children) In addition to Garden admission. For more information, go to mobot.org.
