September 26-27 • Strange Folk Festival
For its 10th anniversary, Strange Folk Festival is moving west to Union Station (1820 Market St.). Nearly 200 independent craft, design, vintage, and technology vendors will set up shop inside the mall for the two-day event, which includes live music, food, a children’s play area, and more. The hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, September 27. Admission is free.
October 9-11 • Vintage Market Days
Vintage Market Days is a pop-up marketplace featuring art, antiques, clothing, jewelry, home décor, and other items. The next event will take place October 9-11 at the Chesterfield Amphitheater (631 Veterans Place Dr.). Shop the early-buying event from noon to 6 p.m. on Friday, October 9 for the best selection, or come by from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, October 10 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 11. A three-day pass is $10, while general admission on Saturday or Sunday is $5. Tickets are good for re-entry all weekend.
October 15 • Craftoberfest
Craftoberfest bills itself as St. Louis’ first outdoor, night market. This year, the event will feature local craft beer and the work of more than 35 local makers, artists, and vintage sellers. There will also be live music and tarot readings. Craftoberfest 2015 will take place from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday, October 15 at Urban Chestnut Brewing Company (3229 Washington Ave.) in Midtown. Admission is free.
October 23-25 • E’ville Indie
The St. Louis Craft Mafia is holding the first E’ville Indie makers’ market at the Wildey Theatre (252 N. Main St.) in Edwardsville, Ill., the weekend before Halloween. More than 40 vendors from both sides of the river will be participating. Tickets will be available for purchase for a VIP party on Friday, October 23. Admission on Saturday, October 24 (10 a.m. to 8 p.m.) and Sunday, October 25 (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.) is free.
