GroveFest, an autumn favorite for the past 16 years, ushers in October with music, food, artisans, performances, and more in The Grove neighborhood on Saturday from 3–11 p.m.
“It’s going to be the biggest GroveFest yet—this year, we have more than 120 vendors,” says Codi Holt, neighborhood development project manager at Park Central Development.

An Array of Activities
Visitors can enjoy classic favorites, such as Juggling Jeff and the Bubble Bus, as well as new thrills. The Little Bit Aerialist Champagne Pour will distribute bubbly from above for tips, which go to the Little Bit Foundation to help with flood recovery. Try to withstand the Diamond Diva Mechanical Bull, presented by 4Hands. And make some new furry friends at Bar K’s Dog Park. There’s also a fashion show, Zumba, eating contests for connoisseurs of both hot dogs and pizza, DJs, dancers, and more.

Fun For All
“I think people love it so much because it’s inclusive for everyone,” says Holt. “It’s not just for the queer community or the Black community. It’s very clearly distinctly for everyone. The Grove is sort of known as this bohemian paradise of sorts—it’s a place where people can feel comfortable coming out and having a messy good time.”
