It’s a little luxury that can go a long way. Soy, wax or gel, candles can instantly change the mood of a room. Whether you’re looking to decorate your vanity or want a little aromatherapy, here is a quick guide to some of my favorite scented candles.
So Soy
Zum Glow Soy Candles have been one of my recent candle discoveries. Unlike paraffin candles, Zum Glow candles are made of soy so they burn longer, cooler, and cleaner. Definitely check out Lavender Mint—with its sprinkling of lavender leaves, it only takes a few seconds before your room is filled with a relaxing lavender aroma.
Into the Blue
None other than my boyfriend first introduced me to Anthropologie’s Capri Blue Volcano candle. Like most male-friendly scents, I was convinced the Volcano candle would overtake his room with strong, musky scents and would eventually suffocate me. Instead, the Volcano candle was anything but overwhelming. With tropical fruits and mountain greens, the Volcano candle was the perfect balance of sweet meets sensual.
Light of Luxury
Luxe Candles lives up to its name thanks to its opulent crystal-encrusted holders and beautiful aromas. Choose from their collection of fragrances, including beach and floral fragrances. Not only will Luxe Candles’ delicate aromas warm up your home, but they also make beautiful conversation pieces.
Simply Jasmine
I may be biased, but jasmine is one of my all-time favorite scents. It’s light enough to be paired with other scents and still can make a statement on its own. When you’re looking to fill your home with unobtrusive candles, I highly recommend Target’s Threshold Jasmine Bouquet Pillar Candle. Group them together or spread them out, the Pillar Candles are the perfect introductory candle for any space.
Classic Candles
I was first introduced to the world of scented candles when my mom gifted me an Archipelago soy candle for my 20th birthday. It was a strong scent, but I loved its rustic glass holder and the fact that I could actually decorate with the candle. Since then, I have discovered Gardenia Tuberose, a delightful aroma that marries one of my favorite floral scents and personal style.
