You know that one fabulous bauble that catches everyone’s eye when you wear it? The to-die-for ring perfect strangers offer to buy straight off of your finger (you have great style, what can you say)? This delicious line of jewelry will inspire a similar lusty reaction.
Designed by native St. Louisan Jennifer Cook, Juxtapose Jewelry is a cool mix of vintage and modern. Her handmade jewelry line offers an eclectic range of designs, achieved by reworking flea market finds into one-of-a-kind wearable works of art.
With the juxtaposition of varied mixed metals and the introduction of colorful elements, Juxtapose pieces seamlessly combine an indie-chic vibe with timeless sophistication.
“As far as inspiration, I’m drawn to pieces I find in my travels,” says Cook. “I’ll see something at a random, hole-in-the-wall antique dealer on Highway 55 or at one of my favorite flea markets―there really is no rhyme or reason, I just find pieces I love that I can rework.”
Cook’s unique creations range in price from $25 to $120 and can be found at Ju Ju B’s in Chesterfield, Femme in Maplewood, Byrd in Clayton, and Eye Candy in Brentwood, as well as online at juxtaposejewelry.com.
