June marks the beginning of summer wedding season, and for every guest, wedding season comes with the anticipation and preparation of putting together just the right look. Whether you’re heading to the Ritz for a wedded extravaganza or trekking it over to one of Missouri’s quaintest wineries, there’s a wedding style for every kind of bride. But what about you, the guest? Finding the perfect hairstyle (without out-doing the bride) varies wedding to wedding. And thanks to Missouri’s infamous humidity, wearing your hair down and straight might not be the best alternative to an easy up-do. After some research and my own wedding guest jitters, I have selected a few of my favorite wedding hair styles to share with you, my fellow readers and summertime wedding-goers:
The Casual Wedding
So your friend is getting married and you want your style to reflect the cool, carefree vibe of the day. Doing a waterfall braid is a great alternative to wearing your hair down and will keep any fly-aways out of your face.
The Platinum Wedding
For an over-the-top soiree, wearing your hair down is more than appropriate. Keeping an air of casualty is key to avoiding a severe or overdone look. Big, soft waves will keep your look fresh and elegant without looking like you’re trying to compete with the bridal party.
The Country Wedding
It goes without saying that outdoor weddings have become commonplace among many brides. From formal weddings to a backyard barbecues, it’s important that hair styles are as beautiful as they are weather appropriate. Go with a style that reflects the formality of the wedding.
Up or down, country weddings are perfect for most hair styles. Here are a few of my favorites:
