Boing Boing posted a cool news bit yesterday about groundbreaking research going on at Wash. U.'s Dynamic Cognition Laboratory. Apparently, when we read fiction, our brains "mentally simulate each new situation encountered in a narrative." The title of the blog post was, appropriately, "This Is Your Brain on Fiction." Someone send a link over to The Washington Post, please! Maybe they will reverse their decision to ixnay their books section.
The St. Louis Business Journal is reporting today that "Dave Checketts is putting Kiel Opera House back on the table."
