Saturday, June 29

Thelonious Kryptonite, DJ Nune, Mikey Wehling, Franco/Hill, Black James, Eric Hall, Syna So Pro, Loose Screwz, and Ou Où
As a press release notes, the first three shows are solo showcases for the artists (who are all electronic musicians), with the last show culminating in "Current, an open-air workshop and performance, with all musicians returning to perform together. For the first hour, attendees are invited to talk with musicians one-on-one to learn more about their artistic process at individual stations equipped with their live performance setup. Afterwards, musicians will form into three groups to perform dynamic, collaborative pieces that are improvisational and experimental in nature."
In addition to the music, the shows will feature artist Josh Welker's modular art installation, “summer flat (she wore hot pants) 1,2,3,and 4,” which will change shape throughout the summer; it is made up of "80 to 100 individual painted wooden objects (some hollow squares, some beams) the curators will place around the plaza as they see fit – stacked or scattered; on their sides or flat."
Old Post Office Plaza is located at the intersection of North 9th Street and Locust. Concerts are free, and start at 7:30 p.m. For more info, go to theluminaryarts.com.
