Jeans: Agave. Shirt: Ike Behar. Watch: Officina del Tempo. Bag: Cole Haan. Designer: Hugo Boss. Local Boutique: Moris Fashions. Stylist: Preston Salon Spa’s Irina and Zach. Fragrance: Molton Brown Black Pepper. Grooming Products: Anthony Logistics For Men products, Molton Brown, and Pond’s cold cream (but on the record, I’ll deny the last one). I will also deny that DevaCurl shampoo changed my life or that I even know what DevaCurl is. Bedding: Hudson Park 600-thread-count Egyptian cotton. Coffee Maker: The Bunn in our office. China: Other people don’t eat dinner standing over the sink? Stationery: Cheree Berry is a rock star, and St. Louis is lucky to have her. Website: Texts From Last Night (textsfromlastnight.com). It’s always good for an instant laugh, no matter how rough the day. On His iPod: I’m that guy still listening to AM/FM radio; having all that control stresses me out. Movie: Up in the Air hit a little close to home for me—and not because it was filmed here. I thought it was brilliant. Last Good Book: 3 Nights in August, of course. Last-Minute Gift: I can’t seem to go wrong with a scarf. TV-show box sets, sunglasses, and pricey soaps are staples, too. Splurge: Car washes. Unfulfilled Ambition: A great wife and family. Ideal Day Off: A few morning errands and brunch, followed by a bottle of wine on the patio with friends. Local Restaurant: Mai Lee. I am utterly addicted. Cocktail: The “Lumberjack”: tall vodka, soda, splash o’ cran. Bar: Krueger’s on Forsyth is the closest thing to Cheers there is. And Brennan’s is as hip as anything in New York. Dance Spot: Novak’s is kind enough to share its amazing vibe with the straight world—it’s hands down the best dance scene in town. Dessert: Dairy Queen’s swirl is the only sweet thing I ever crave. Discovery: A lot of big names in Hollywood are actually quite normal. They’re just trying to find work they like (and pay some expensive bills!). Vacation Spot: The closest pool available. Weekend Getaway: Palm Desert, Calif. Inspiration: People who make great movies that also make a profit. Necessary Luxury: Airport cocktails. Local Charity: Kids In The Middle. City: St. Louis is the best-kept secret the world over, once you hit your stride. I wholeheartedly believe that and think others can, too.
