My favorite part of fashion week coverage is undoubtedly the accessories, and who better to tell the handbag story of spring 2012 than Louis Vuitton?
The peek-a-boo effect made its way onto the runway with a bevy of bags shown in slick, glistening metallics and presented with open, cage-like construction. In addition, we saw several clear logo bags with crisp white detailing—just perfect for spring’s impending warmer weather. Just the thought of carrying one of these on an open-air shopping trip makes me smile.
Buttery yellows and cool shades of blue were the big color trends of the show, and indeed the feminine yellow number with the stitched logo pattern (far right) is what dreams are made of.
