Cheers to quality, even if we don't have quantity: As Annie Zaleski reported earlier this week, St. Louis won't have scores of folks at South by Southwest. But we can be proud of the caliber of the artists who are there, including Rockwell Knuckles, So Many Dynamos, and Ha Ha Tonka. (Okay, that's cheating a little...we do know those cats are based in Springfield, but we're going to stretch and say they play here often enough to qualify for dual citizenship.) We should also mention that TwangFest, KDHX, the Biliken Club are collaborating on music parties, and that Euclid Records will be representing in their own right, as will STL/NOLA-based label INK Records, which is throwing its weight behind New Orleans artist George Stathakes, who you can see performing here. The festival kicks off tonight and wraps up the 21st. --Stefene Russell
