On this week's episode of Resale Royalty, the ladies decided that bigger isn't always better.
Coming off of last week's announcement that the store was opening a second location, Sue, Laura, and Diana visited two potential spaces with very different branding opportunities. The first space was a massive 16,000 square foot building in Webster Groves that Laura envisioned as a "lifestyle center," bringing Women's Closet Exchange, Clique, and Purple Cow together all in one space. The second location, a more manageable 2,300 square foot space in the Central West End, was conveniently located and could be transformed into what Diana and Sue envisioned as "The Vault by WCE," a place to showcase the best of the best merchandise from the store. In the end, despite some initial resistance from Laura, the ladies pulled the trigger on the smaller Central West End location, which was less of a risk.
In addition to scouting out their new space, the ladies of Women's Closet Exchange also started working on their annual spring fashion show. The employees pulled merchandise from the store for four of the latest trends: graphic prints, black and white, boudoir, and floral. Soon after, local stylist Annie Brahler, of Euro Trash, called Laura and asked if she could pull merchandise from the store for a lingerie photo shoot in Paris, and Laura happily obliged her. However, Diana was not thrilled when she found out that Laura allowed Brahler to pull most of the merchandise from the boudoir trend and would not be returning it until just before the fashion show. Thankfully, the merchandise was returned on time, but not until after the model fittings.
This week's closet buyout took place at the beautiful home of renowned interior designer Joy Tribout. Tribout, her daughter, and daughter-in-law showed off their high-end fashion, including vintage Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Hermes, Chanel, and more.
A teaser for next week's episode showed some drama going on behind the scenes at the spring fashion show, along with more activity at the new Central West End location.
