This week’s episode of Resale Royalty brought out the best of St. Louis society and style. From dermatologist extraordinaire Dr. Maude Kandula to fashion PR guru Susan Sherman, it was a who’s-who of socialite closets. Starting off the episode with Breeze’s Whitney Roads, Women’s Closet Exchange stocked up on Whitney’s amazing L.A.M.B. bags and even a David Yurman ring from supplier, Sue. But the real fun came from Kandula’s closet buy. When Kandula’s home could no longer house all her designer clothes and accessories, she built a new home (mansion) around her closet. I mean, with that many designer labels to house, what else should she have done? Authenticator Deena had the privilege of attending Kandula’s closet buy, and with it being her first closet buy, it was quite comical to see Deena try and contain her excitement. Walking out with $12,000 of designer inventory, many of it never worn, the women of WCE were more than happy with their purchases, and who can blame them?
And just when I thought I had seen it all, Sherman’s home was, to put it lightly, out of control. Hosting a private resale party in her home, Diana, Sue, and Laura brought out the best WCE had to offer. Lela Rose, Chanel and Ralph Lauren flew off the racks, and let’s just say living vicariously through Susan and her guests is an understatement. But the night wasn’t all fun and games. More than $20,000 in Chanel and David Yurman jewelry was accidentally misplaced just minutes before the resale party. And right before any meltdowns could ensue, Jourdan saved the day, finding the ubiquitous bag in the front seat of the car. Selling more than $8,000 in merchandise, the women of WCE made bank, and the night was nothing short of a success. Customers with designer duds and merchandise sold, it can’t get much better for the ladies of WCE, or can it?
