The latest episode of Resale Royalty was full of fashion, drama, and VIPs.
From Pucci to Gucci, suppliers brought in a bevy of clothing and accessories to sell the to the store. Molly, Sue's niece and buyer, showed off her fashion prowess after purchasing merchandise from supplier Sharon and selling a closet appraisal, closet organization, and several vintage Chanel handbags. Although Sue, Diana and Laura were not going to let Molly do the appraisal by herself, they put her to the test with a mock closet and, after Molly's appraisal almost exactly matched their numbers, allowed her to come along. At the appraisal, Sharon showed off her designer merchandise and tried on any clothing that she was unsure about. After Sharon and the ladies agreed on $1,500 for the clothes, Molly organized Sharon's closet to perfection.
Towards the beginning of the show, a longtime customer suggested bringing back Women's Closet Exchange's old VIP program, which Sue, Laura, and Diana all loved. After agreeing on the benefits of the program, which included a discount at Women's Closet Exchange, Clique, Purple Cow and exclusive access to sales and events, the ladies assigned Jourdan, Diana's assistant, to the task of throwing the VIP launch party at the store. As Jourdan planned the exclusive soiree, Jojo, Diana and Laura's assistant and sales girl at Purple Cow, questioned her competence every step of the way. Although Jourdan took a hit to her confidence, Sue, Diana, and Laura all assured her that she was a valuable part of the team.
At the end of the episode, the VIP party was hugely successful and brought in 22 new VIP members and impressive profits, including that of a vintage 1970s gray Pucci jumpsuit to longtime customer Stephanie.
Next time, Sue, Diana, Laura are headed to New York Fashion Week.
