Sunday’s Resale Royalty was once again packed with designer must-haves, Sue’s signature cheekiness and of course, drama. With the sudden disappearance of a designer dress, the ladies of the Women’s Closet Exchange decide to deal with their lack of in-store security by hiring a local security agency to “penetrate” the shop. Decoy shoppers are unleashed onto WCE while employees are doing everything from whip-it shots to mindless chit chatting. More than $1,000 in merchandise is “stolen” from decoy shopper Aisha, and let’s just say Sue is less than thrilled with her team.
In the midst of the shoplifting madness, stylist Alice Sydow comes to WCE looking to dress her client Oso for the Grammy’s. After pulling red carpet-worthy designer dresses from the shop and WCE’s booth at Collective MX downtown, Laura, Diana, and Jourdan find themselves in a fashion frenzy trying to please Alice and her high-profile client. From Escada to Badgley Mischka, Oso had her pick of the best WCE had to offer in gorgeous designer gowns. Unable to choose just one gown for the Grammy’s, Oso made the decision any fashion addict would have made in her position and took home all of it. Problem solved.
When it came to solving their shoplifting problem, Sue and her team seem to be a bit more in control of monitoring what goes in and out of the store. Decoy Amanda left empty-handed, and hopefully so will any future shoplifters looking for the five-finger discount. Like any reality TV junkie, I can’t wait for next week’s episode. Chock-full of drama, covetable closets and questionable antics, I can’t wait to see next week’s Resale Royalty unfold.
