An award show where the outlandish is not only accepted but expected, it was a bit refreshing to see some of the music world’s biggest stars rock beauty looks at this year’s Grammy’s that were not only real-world wearable but also inviting and completely feminine. Whether they rocked a faux bob or silver liner, here are some of my favorite Grammy beauties and tips on how to achieve their highly coveted looks.
Beautiful Like Beyonce
Without seeing Beyonce’s Grammy hair, I would have thought, “middle part, exposed roots, chin-length hair, curls, is she crazy?!” If anything, I was crazy in love with Beyonce’s Grammy do, not just because it was a dramatic departure from her signature long locks, but also because it’s made simple hair cool again. With the help of Pantene Pro-V Curly No Crunch Curls Whip and Pantene Advanced+ Keratin Repair KeraGloss Oil, Beyonce’s hair made a dramatic statement on the red carpet, ushering in a new era of simply chic hair.
Rita’s Aura
Rita Ora (pictured left) can do no wrong when it comes to her hair and makeup, and her Grammy look proved just that. Channeling Marilyn Monroe with her full curls, bold brows, and muted pink lip, Rita was a sight to see. Want to recreate her luscious look? Check out Diorshow Brow Styler Ultra-Fine Precision Brow Pencil. It works universally to give you Rita-worthy brows, without leaving them overly colored. Finish off your Rita-inspired look with Lancôme’s L’Absolu Rouge in Coquette for a lip that’s matte and muted.
Leave It to Leto
Jared Leto’s ombre locks at the Grammy’s may as well have won their own award. Always a trendsetter, Leto’s shiny, flowing, and richly colored locks definitely set him apart from the other male artists, and he didn’t even need to steal the Arby’s cowboy hat. A scruffy beard was an appropriate masculine touch to his slightly more androgynous hairdo. Once again setting a new standard for male beauty, Jared is definitely a trendsetter worth following.
Simple Ciara
Maybe it’s her pregnancy glow. Maybe it’s her recent engagement to rapper Future, or maybe it’s that she’s just plain beautiful. Whatever it is, Ciara hit the mark with her faux bob and beautifully bronzed makeup at this year’s Grammy’s. Get her golden goddess look with the help of nude lip color like MAC’s Shy Girl lipstick. Polish off your bronzed skin with Trish McEvoy’s Illuminating Cream palatte. The creamy textured palatte boasts four brighteners that work to give you a healthy, bronzed glow. Set it with the translucent finishing powder and you’re on your way to getting a slice of Ciara’s Grammy glow.
