The Oscars gave us a bevvy of beautiful gowns, golden statues and glamour girls. But when it came to beauty, less is more was the name of the game. From soft, coral lips to impossibly long lashes, Oscar attendees walked the red carpet with a beauty reminiscent of Old Hollywood. Recreating these looks is both easy and practical, even if you aren't a silver-screen siren. Here is a guide to some of my favorite looks of Oscar night.
Jennifer Garner
The Dallas Buyer's Club star wowed on the red carpet with her neutral-toned makeup. But even her understated color palette couldn't hide her endlessly long lashes. For separated, long lashes, try Chanel's Inimitable Intense Mascara in Noir. It lengthens and separates for a lash line as sexy as Jennifer's.
Olivia Wilde
Olivia Wilde has been owning the red carpet this season and Sunday's Oscars was no exception. The pregnant bombshell got her 60s-inspired, sex-kitten cat eye thanks to Revlon Colorstay Liquid Liner in Blackest Black. A thick line of liner was applied from end-to-end of her lid, creating a signature 60s look. A delicate, winged-edge finished off her look with an appropriately dramatic fullness.
Jenna Dewan Tatum
As if being Mrs. Channing Tatum wasn't reason enough to envy her, Jenna certainly gave us another reason to on Sunday night. Gorgeous as ever, Jenna rocked the lip color of the season with Avon Ultra Color Absolute Lipstick in Creamy Melon. Her cheeks gave off a healthy, coral shimmer thanks to Chanel's Jardin de Camelia's Illuminating Powder and Chic Frills Powder Blush.
Kate Hudson
I don't think I've been so in love with a Kate Hudson red carpet look since her Oscars debut almost a decade ago. This time around, her curls were anything but tight and tamed thanks to Flex by Living Proof hairspray. A trendy, deep-side part and big, low curls were a modern take on a retro hairstyle.
