This month, Ylang-Ylang Fine Jewelry (1701 S. Lindbergh, Suite 81, 314-567-5555) at Plaza Frontenac is hosting a full lineup of in-person appearances by nationally known jewelry designers. During the trunk shows, designers bring in their latest and most extravagant pieces and are available to work individually with clients on custom orders.
“We probably do more trunk shows than any store in St. Louis,” says Julie Ettinger, president and CEO of Ylang-Ylang. “We have a special niche in the community. Our clients come to us for something unique that you can’t find anywhere else. Being able to see a really rare and unusual stone or vintage diamonds [during an event] is such a treat.”
Stop by the store between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. during each trunk show to mingle with the designer and shop his or her collection.
November 13 • Single Stone
Ari Madilian, founder of Single Stone, will bring his collection of vintage and vintage-inspired jewelry to Ylang-Ylang on Wednesday, November 14. Madilian specializes in vintage diamonds, but he also will reset a diamond that a customer already owns in a vintage setting. Purchase a Single Stone piece and receive a complimentary dinner (a $100 value) at Cafe Napoli, Cardwell’s at the Plaza, or Prasino.
November 14 • Kacey K
On Thursday, November 14, meet Kacey Karp, the head designer and CEO of Kacey K, and peruse her collection of “lucky” charms. These small charms—in the shape of elephants, horseshoes and more—are designed to be layered with other necklaces. Bring a friend to receive a $50 gift card toward any purchase. From 2-7 p.m., sip wine and enjoy treats during a girls’ day out event.
November 22-23 • Erica Courtney
Erica Courtney, the designer behind the brand of the same name, will make a two-day appearance at Ylang-Ylang on Friday and Saturday, November 22 and 23. Erica Courtney’s designs have appeared on the red carpet and have been worn by celebrities like Madonna, Julia Roberts, and Jessica Alba. She is known for her use of pops of color, rare stones, and intricate details. During the trunk show, receive a complimentary spa manicure with every Erica Courtney purchase.
