Love the fabric on one of your old dresses, but not the fit? Learn how to give your clothes new life with Perennial's "Refreshen an Old Favorite into a New Garment" class on July 18.
From 6:30 to 9 p.m., local artist Emily Hemeyer will open up your mind to ways you can reconstruct old clothing into something new. Heymeyer suggests bringing clothes made of sturdy natural fabrics, cotton blends, or thick polyester. During the class tools will be available to help you make new simple designs, such as basic dresses, blazers, pants, etc., from your old clothes. And, if you're not naturally crafty, don't worry. No sewing experience needed!
The class is $35 per person and will be at the Perennail Shop (7413 S. Broadway, 314-832-2288). To find out more information or to register online, click here. Registration ends July 15.
