Mick Jagger, Steven Tyler, Gene Simmons: These rock legends not only got attention for their musical prowess, but also for their individual sense of style. Next Friday, July 6, the classically cool combination of fashion and rock 'n roll will merge again at "Pins and Needles," an alternative fashion show with an edge at Plush (3224 Locust, 314-588-0073).
Designers Jessica Affsprung, Conjetta, Ola Style, Rebel Tart, and Michael Shead will show their fashion-forward collections to the music of CaveofSwordS and R6 Implant, a new band with former members of Fragile Porcelain Mice and Celery. A separate vendor area will also showcase local designers, crafters, and artists.
Doors open at 6 p.m. and the fashion show will start at 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale for $10 from now through July 2 or you can purchase them at the door for $15. A cash bar will be available.
