Last week, the Urban Land Institute released the names of the five finalists for its ULI Amanda Burden Urban Open Space Award, and Citygarden was among them (they're using a picture of St. Louis on the front page; is this a hint to Citygarden's inevitably victory? We hope so!) It's also the backdrop in a newly released video by expat STL musician Kristeen Young (she who sang backup for David Bowie and toured with Morrissey). "Fantastic Failure," a song from her new EP, V the Volcanic (due out in May), features some really stunning shots of St. Louis, and many, many shots of Igor Mitoraj's sculpture "Eros Bendato," otherwise known as "the giant Greek head." Enjoy:
Citygarden Really is All That
Not only is it a finalist for an Urban Land Institute Award, but Kristeen Young's new video was shot there, too!
