The lovely Jo Firestone emailed me way back in the summer about a theater production she's involved with; I promised to get it on the blog, and naturally crazy deadlines ensued, and I never managed to get it posted. Happily, the play's coming back to town, and I have been granted a second chance to get the shout out. (You can get a preview here, with a YouTube trailer.) Here is more information from Ms. Firestone, below:
Ridgefield Middle School Talent Nite will be coming back to St. Louis for ONE WEEKEND ONLY: December 11-12 at the Gaslight Theater.
Since performing in St. Louis, Talent Nite has been performed for sold-out audiences in several venues in New York City, including the People's Improv Theater, ArsNova, and the Magnet Theater. Recently, the show has been touring Northeastern colleges as part of a program we're starting called the Financial Play'd Project; an initiative to support college financial aid and student arts funds while promoting student creative work through collaborative performance. To learn more, please visit our website at www.talentnite.com. These performances at The Gaslight Theater are in tandem with our Financial Play'd Project production on December 6th at Washington University in St. Louis.
Ridgefield Middle School Talent Nite
(an original play about a very "talented" middle school.)
Created and Performed by Jo Firestone and Dylan Marron
Back from NYC for ONE WEEKEND ONLY
A seventeen-person middle school talent show created and performed by two people who, like themselves, know more now that they're older. A comedic tribute to the best three years of our lives, Ridgefield Middle School Talent Nite is a play for anyone who ever thought it couldn't get any better than prank calls and slow-dancing.
Friday, December 11 at 8pm Saturday, December 12 at 11pm The Gaslight Theater 358 N Boyle St. Louis, MO 63108 $10 For ticket reservations, please email ridgefieldtheplay@gmail.com
